Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has officially announced the launch of Pakistan’s first Artificial Intelligence (AI) University, which will be built in Lahore. This exciting news was shared during her speech at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2025 in Turkey.
Maryam Nawaz emphasized the importance of modern education in today’s world. She said that by focusing on areas like artificial intelligence, Punjab is preparing its young generation for future challenges and job opportunities. The AI University will offer advanced courses in AI and related technologies, helping students gain skills that are in high demand across the world.
During her speech, she also highlighted various initiatives Punjab is taking to improve education. These include setting up digital classrooms, offering scholarships, and hiring new teachers to improve the quality of education. Special attention is being given to support girls and children in rural and underdeveloped areas, so no one is left behind.
Another major project she introduced is the “Nawaz Sharif Internet City.” This digital hub will support startups, encourage innovation, and create new job opportunities for the youth. It’s a bold step towards building a modern and connected Punjab.
Maryam Nawaz also called on other countries to work together to ensure that children everywhere, especially in conflict zones, have access to quality education. She believes that education and technology can bring real change and help Pakistan grow on the global stage.
